Les « geysers », entre émeute et expérimentation : les timides débuts politiques de la ville récréative

Abstract

This article deals with the “geysers” of the heatwave of July 2015. This phenomenon was caused by the uncontrolled opening of fire hydrant located in suburb towns near Paris. Local authorities considered the « geysers » as youth riots. The text also reports a technical experimentation which allows a legal and a secure opening of the fire hydrant, during the summer 2016. This text is a reflection about authorization of young people as actors of the political stage. A theoretical frame links three concepts: the experimentation, the mastering of use and the recreation town to understand a very incomplete political authorization.
