Abstract
This article explores the tension in La rambla paralela between self-figuration processes and the narration of the experience of intimacy, which is here associated with ghost temporality and the vacuum of death. Phantasmagoric potentiality is achieved through the form of being character and through the narrative voice which is neither unique nor clearly presented but shows instead a constant displacement. The ghost is closely linked to the act of remembering and to the melancholic process set in motion by this particular narrative voice
