CREATING A PROTOCOL FOR DIAGNOSIS OF DEPRESSION

Abstract

This study aimed to elaborate a pilot protocol to facilitate the diagnosis of depression based on ICD-10. The methodological trajectory followed the steps of participant research and literature review. As a result, the Depression Diagnosis Protocol in an Adult is presented as well as the positive and negative attributions to the using potential of this instrument by a Mental Health staff. It was concluded that it was possible to build a Diagnosis Protocol through participant research which proved to be feasible and operational in the assessment of the members of the mental health crew who participated in the research. As such, it can be used in future studies in the mental healthcare services.
