An important moment for graphics in Kosovo improvement is the year 1964, when graphic workshop was founded in Pristina and when the first oeuvres appeared. Trajko Stojanović Kosovac (1934-2002) is one of the pioneers of graphics in Kosovo and Metohija. His graphics was inspired by the Serbian medieval painting, and he made interesting graphics painted with Byzantine patina. After 1961, Stojanović breaks up with colours and declares himself for drawing and graphics. Cycles as 'Golden Oltars', 'Dečan's Medallions' and 'the Abduction of Dečan's Treasury' speak about the connection of artistic oeuvre with Serbian medieval inheritance. The creativity of Kosovac marked the beginning of the contemporary Serbian fine arts in Kosovo and Metohija by giving it the seal of homeland, and Serbian culture.
