Iterative channel estimation and decoding algorithm for quasi-coherent demodulation of Turbo coded GMSK signals

Abstract

A new simple iterative channel estimation algorithm for quasi-coherent demodulation Turbo coded GMSK signals was presented. Based on the iterative decoding principle of Turbo code, the algorithm improved the channel esti- mation accuracy using output of decoder. Numerous simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can improve bit error rate （BER） performance dramatically.
