Supino used in his researches and related publications both photographies commissioned by himself, and amateur photographies and professional images searched into photographic studios catalogues.He considered the catalogues as important source of knowledge and essential cultural map alongside guides and travelling stories, a way to spread and enhance the italian heritage as well as specific and convenient tool for any orders.In the photographic archive belonged to him, there are especially albumins on a paper rigid support to prevent crumple up. The subjects are commissioned by John Henry parker in Rome from 1864 to 1877, the photographers Carlo Baldassarre Simelli, Filippo Lais, Giovanni Battista Colamedici, Francesco Sidoli involvement is due to him for documenting the archeological and medieval dimension of Rome.
