ANÁLISE DA EVOLUÇÃO DO EMPREENDEDORISMO NO BRASIL NO PERÍODO DE 2002 A 2016
Abstract
This article presents the evolution of entrepreneurship in Brazil, in the last 15 years, using as secondary data source, the surveys of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and micro and small business support service (SEBRAE), whose searches carried out from 2002 to 2016. The results point to a descriptive analysis regarding the rate of new and springs entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship rate according to the stage of the entrepreneur (initial and established), as well as the initial entrepreneurship rate according to their motivation (by opportunity or necessity), entrepreneurs according to gender, age group and educational level. This study showed that Brazil from 2002 to 2016 presents a significant growth in relation to entrepreneurship, as well as the advancement of the contribution of women in the economy, increase in entrepreneurship by opportunity, as well as stability and longer survival period of existing businesses.
