The effect of social capital on promoting organizational resilience: explanation of the mediating role of knowledge sharing related to Covid-19 crisis

The Covid Crisis has affected many sections of human society, including organizations, because they are home to so many people. Due to the emergence of this crisis, access to the right knowledge and information can lead to a principled and safe exposure to these conditions. On the other hand, the exchange and sharing of information in such situations can depend on the quality of communication and interaction of people in the organization. The purpose of this study has been to investigate the mediating role of knowledge sharing, in the relationship between social capital and organizational resilience; associated with Corona crisis. It is an applied research with a descriptive correlational research method in terms of data collection. The statistical population of this study includes the staff of Zahedan Municipality. The sample size is set at 196 people. The data collection tool of this research is, Napahit and Goshal social capital questionnaire and the organizational knowledge sharing questionnaire is Chang et al. Also, the organizational resilience questionnaire is Meh Manus and Chou et al. Cronbach's Alpha is in the acceptable range for all variables. The validity and reliability of the questionnaires is also confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis. The Gof index is obtained 0/635 which indicates the good desirability of the structural model. Research hypotheses were tested using path analysis in Lysol Software. The results showed that social capital has a positive effect on knowledge sharing and through knowledge sharing has a positive effect on employee resilience. Therefore, the need to pay attention to employee resilience in crisis situations is determined by the knowledge sharing approach through social capital enhancement.
