In the title compound, C15H10BrClO2S, the 4-chlorophenyl ring is oriented approximately perpendicular to the mean plane of the benzofuran ring [dihedral angle = 89.55 (9)°]. In the crystal, molecules are linked through weak intermolecular C—H...O hydrogen bonds and and a Br...Br contact [3.783 (3) Å].
