A Converter with DSC for Speed Control of an AC Motor
Abstract
The paper presents a system dedicated for speed control with a DSC Digital Signal Controller isolated but integrated for direct optoelectronic commands to the DC/AC converter. The control methodology is dedicated to a variable load, this being the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor PMSM engine. The power block is flexible and can accept various switching devices for synthesis of the motor's sinewave currents, thus extending the applicative range is possible. The experimental system is suitable for a small PMSM motor used in the development of application software.
