Il motivo del Salvatore nella culla in un racconto popolare resiano
Motiv rešitelja v zibelki v rezijanski pripovedi

Abstract
This paper focuses on a Resian tale; its principal motif is a soul conjured into a snake, coiled around a tree. The snake is forced to wait for her deliverer who will rise from the cradle. Along with some minor believes about the afterworld life the wide-spread mythological motif under investigation is the central element of this folk tale which is compared with other Slovenian folk traditions and with the Legend of the Cross, as painted by the italian artist Piero della Francesca.
