Background: Maintaining balance control is crucial for dancers, particularly in classical dance, where intricate and dynamic movements are performed. The dynamic leap and balance test (DLBT) is commonly used to assess balance in dancers. However, the relationship between dynamic balance test scores and various factors in classical dancers remains unclear. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the dynamic balance test in classical dancers using the DLBT and examine the association between dynamic leap balance test scores and factors such as age, dance experience, limb lengths, height, and weight. Methods: A cross-sectional study was recruited through convenient sampling method was utilized to recruit 36 classical dancers. Participants' age, dance experience, limb lengths, height, and weight were measured. The DLBT was performed, and measurements including the time taken to complete the leaping pattern, stability errors, and missed targets were recorded. Statistical analysis, including correlation analysis, was conducted to assess the relationship between dynamic balance test scores and various factors. Results: The results demonstrated a significant negative correlation between age and dynamic leap balance test scores (r = −0.717, p < 0.05). Dance experience exhibited a significant negative correlation with dynamic leap balance test scores (r = −0.902, p < 0.05). However, limb lengths, height, and weight did not show significant correlations with dynamic balance performance. Conclusion: The findings indicate that age and dance experience are important factors influencing dynamic balance performance in classical dancers. Older dancers tend to demonstrate decreased dynamic balance, while those with more years of experience exhibit improved dynamic balance. These results emphasize the significance of maintaining and enhancing balance control throughout a dancer's career.
