In recent years, vortex cooling is stated in the research subjects and its usage shows an increase. Researchers examined its effects on cutting process and it is stated in the literature that vortex cooling is an eco-friendly cooling method. In this study, the effect of vortex cooling method on both machining methods and cutting performance was examined in separate titles. Its performance was evaluated in terms of advantages and disadvantages comparing to other cooling methods in cutting process. As a result of this evaluation, vortex cooling effects the cutting process positively in turning and milling processes comparing to dry machining, conventional liquid cooling and conventional air cooling methods. This effect is less comparing to cryogenic and MQL cooling methods.
