Why read?: Approaches to the senses of literature at school
Abstract
This article gives an account of the results of research on imagery surrounding the what of teaching literature in grades eleven three urban public educational institutions in the municipality of Ciudad Bolivar, located in the department of Antioquia. The article presents two main areas: the first gathers all those which instrumentalizes it: literature for language service to improve the comprehension, to inform about some works, to solve heavy scholar tasks or, as an animation from merely physical activities. And the second field gathers all the senses that are offered by literature as an autonomous cultural building: as an experience, as a possibility of imagine the world, of figuring out the human thought, of perfecting the aesthetic dimension, as a possibility of discovering and constructing of self and, of configuring critical beings.
