The article is devoted to the study of such verbal categories as aspect and tense by students with mental delay in the 5th grade of a general education school in conditions of co-education with schoolchildren without developmental features within the class-lesson system. The work of a teacher with a class in which there are students with mental delay requires knowledge of the psychological characteristics of such students, and when compiling assignments, one should take into account their ability to master the necessary amount of information. All of the above requires special preparation for the lessons from the teacher.
