La maniera epica di Cesare Arici: il modello virgiliano
Abstract
This essay explores one of the least known aspects of Cesare Arici’s (1782-1836) imitation of Virgil. After composing didactic poems and while considering translating all Virgil’s works, Arici set out to write the (incomplete) epic poem "La Gerusalemme distrutta", which imitates the Aeneid both thematically and stylistically.
