Key points 1. HCC patients suffering early postoperative recurrence have reduced survival than those without early postoperative recurrence. 2. The preoperative models for early postoperative recurrence prediction achieved good performance. 3. These models may help the clinician to go on treatment optimization and improve HCC prognosis.
