Financial Considerations for Retirement Planning

Abstract

ABSTRACTSome dentists have owned their dental practices for many years, treated thousands of patients, helped maintain their patients’ total health and changed their lives for the better. They have built a great practice, but now they’re starting to think about transitioning the practice and moving on to their next phase of life. This manuscript will outline financial planning aspects of retirement, provide tips for dentists who have not reached retirement age and explain nonfinancial aspects of retirement that should be considered. (Managing the burden of dental education debt is beyond the scope of this retirement planning analysis).
