Transmettre et répandre le Réveil au début du XIXe siècle : trois lettres inédites du pasteur Cellérier à Auguste de Staël
Abstract
The protestant Revival of the beginning of the 19th century is characterized by a modern view of religious education. Letters send by minister Cellérier to Auguste de Stael from its first communion and through all the rest of his life give us a new insight for the understanding of the many roots of personal engagement in the diverse protestant societies created during the French Restauration. The spiritual and emotional links that gathered in those times the Men of the Revival appear to play a key role in the widening of the protestant faith in Francophone Europe as well as in England, deepening a confessional network with a striking dynamism.
