Multiple mycotic aneurysms post coarctoplasty with stenting–An unusual presentation of a known complication
Abstract
19 year old girl was referred to our centre with a diagnosis of multiple mycotic aneurysms post coarctoplasty and stenting. She underwent successful surgical reconstruction of aorta after medical stabilisation. Tissue culture revealed polymicrobial (unusual) etiology which was treated according to antimicrobial susceptibility. Prompt diagnosis and appropriate intervention is essential to prevent potential complications of mycotic aneurysms (post coarctoplasty)
