One of the most challenging verses of Surah Yusuf, regarding the theft of the sons of Ya'qub: [1]«إِنَّکُم لَسَارِقُونَ» Acknowledging its denial is in the commentaries. In this interpretation, conspiracy, lies, slander and defamation are attributed to Yusuf. This issue has been considered by commentators since the beginning of the compilation of the knowledge of interpretation, and from a doctrinal, moral and theological point of view, it has forced them to try to deal with this issue. Explaining these views in this verse shows that intellectual developments and the development of interpretive knowledge have been effective in solving this challenge. In fact, the problem of this study is to know the attitude of the commentators, their different methods and the method of responding in the course of evolution and interpretation. Therefore, this article is a reflection of these theories and solutions that the commentators have presented in their historical course and have been able to explain this verse. The importance of this study is that it shows; how these theories have been slowly formed and developed in the social and human form, in the knowledge of interpretation, and each commentator has added a point to the words of his predecessors or criticized and corrected the words of his predecessor. The important conclusion that has been drawn is that, in the course of the evolution of the commentaries, whatever happened in the past, instead of words such as: "He was a prophet", "His work must have been right", etc., a textualistic view was found and the description of this story was It has become objective and wise.
