The rising problem of congestion in Kuwait is not very well known. Data on everyday travel and congestion of a working population were determined by a survey of a random sample of 1500 commuters. Almost 64% of the population sample included the nationals of Kuwait and 71.5% were male. The study includes a variety of conclusions and final suggestions. The time lost, fuel consumption, and air emissions were measured and perceptions towards traffic congestion were also evaluated by the public. The expectations of the public were also established for congestion management steps. While it should definitely be claimed that the shortage of traffic, by degrading the standard of urban environment and community life, put very high costs on commuters. In addition, there were also high environmental impact for air emissions.
