The aim of the article is to study the phenomenon of “behavioral operation” (behaviorist operation) as a means of latent modification of the behavior of society, which determined the novelty and relevance of the work. Using discourse analysis, virtual reality method and monitoring, the author identifies fragments of a behavioral operation model. Based on an analysis of the views of a number of researchers, sources, and monitoring, technologies for concealed behavior modification that are congruently embedded in the model are disclosed. Based on the study of the operation, the psychological nature and value system of the concept are revealed. The author’s edition of the definition “behavioral operation” has been introduced. Analysis of the process of probabilistic development, the conduct of behavioral operations and monitoring fragments convinces them of their effectiveness. The prospects of their use in the future are shown. In conclusion, the article formulates proposals on the need for systemic development in order to reduce the risk of using “behaviorist operations” for destructive purposes.
