Modeling the Types of Physical Activity on Quality of Life, Life Expectancy and Life Satisfaction in Female Teachers; a Case Study of Qom City

Aims: Physical activity is effective in flourishing various aspects of the personality of society and plays an important role in the health of society. The purpose of current study was to model the types of physical activity on quality of life, life expectancy and life satisfaction in female teachers of Qom city Instruments & Methods: This descriptive-analytical study was conducted on 140 female teachers in Qom city in the academic year 2017-2018 who were selected by convenience sampling method. The research instruments were the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), 36-Item Short Form Survey (SF-36), Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and, Snyderchr('39')s Hope Scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical and Pearson correlation test and structural equation modeling using the SPSS 22 and AMOS 20 software. Findings: Work, sport and leisure physical activity had significant relationship with quality of life, life expectancy and life satisfaction. Also quality of life and life expectancy played a partial mediator role in relation to physical activity and life satisfaction. Conclusions: Doing physical activities by increasing the quality of life and life expectancy leads to increasing the life satisfaction in female teachers.
