The adaptation of the therapeutic effort: science, technology and society

Abstract

The scientific and technological development has an impact in all the spheres of society. The adaptation of the therapeutic effort is example of this. The author’s motive to carry out this bibliographic review article laid on the technological abuse as a result of the indiscriminate and excessive use of the vital support measures, on the growing potentials offered by science and technology to medical professionals, and on the need to present the foundations which help these professionals develop the abilities to accept the values that regulate and limit the use of these modern technologies. The main aim of the article is to get a theoretical approach taking into consideration the ethical thought about this present-day problem. It is necessary that science and humanness, as well as the scientific knowledge and the moral and ethical values governing the medical practice, get together in only one process.
