L'urbanisme en question

Abstract

This article analyzes issues and current urban planning practices, as they appear through the topics chosen by students for their Master’s internship dissertation at the University of Strasbourg the last twenty years. We observe a clear shift of subjects from economy as a dominant field towards transport and mobility. However, the very foundations of geography do not seem disturbed, since we observed that both the operational and study dimensions persist as key points, confirming that urban planning remains in essence a field of action, beyond its changing points of interest.
