Collective Action as a way to Increase Sustainability for Education: A Discussion Based on the 2030 Agenda
Abstract
This theoretical essay aims to highlight collective action as a way to expand sustainability education in the 2030 Agenda. Based on the study, it was possible to reflect on the relevance of collective actions, which move individuals towards the common good, as well as understand the relevance of learning practices, based on education for sustainability. Thus, it was found that the 2030 Agenda presents items of collective action as a whole, and education for sustainability is reiterated by collective action, which turns the connection of the themes into a form of ‘positive snowball’, in order to achieve the goals of the agenda. Many skills developed by the learning literature were found to be prerequisites for the development of 17 SDGs, this highlights the need for collective action in this area. For the long-term reach of the 2030 Agenda, it is necessary to look closely at the variables of collective action, which can positively influence.
