The Dead (Ballad) [In Bulgarian]
Abstract
In 1914 the semi-monthly magazine “Otechestvo” [Fatherland] was published, intended for the fighters from the front - the Balkan War 1912-1913 was over and it is not yet known that in a year Bulgaria will go to war again - the European War 1915-1918. The magazine contains stories about the military exploits of Bulgarian officers and soldiers, works of art by famous writers, poetry and many photos and illustrations. The Belogradchik writer Georgi Savchev (1883-1949) also participated in the issues of Otechestvo from 1914 with poetry.
