Highlights: (1) Energy-absorption capacity of yielding rockbolts in rockbursts is evaluated. (2) Rock deformation and rockburst damage are quantitatively assessed. (3) Performance of yielding rockbolts in weak and strong rockbursts is studied. (4) Effects of floor support and cable bolts on controlling rockbursts are discussed.
