The Russian-German scientific and analytical round table: «30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall: a look into the past, present and future of the United Germany» was held on November 21, 2019 in Moscow at the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The event was organized by the Center for German Studies of the IE RAS and the Branch of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation in Moscow. The round table was attended by leading experts of the IE RAS, IMEMO RAS, Moscow State University Lomonosov, Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Center for Coordination of Research RISI, INION RAS, Higher School of Economics, employees of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of German party and political funds in Russia, members of the Russia and Germany society. The participants exchanged views on a wide range of issues relating to the economic, domestic and foreign policy aspects of the fall of the Berlin Wall and their consequences. Based on the results of participation in the round table the author analyzes the speeches of key speakers on the results and lessons of German unification.
