Rather different than elsewhere: Gerrie Snymans contribution in the context of Reformed theology Prof Gerrie Snymans book Om die Bybel anders te lees: n etiek van Bybellees (2007) attracted considerable attention in Afrikaans-speaking reformed circles in South Africa. In this article, some of the responses to and reviews of the book are studied in order to assess the publications impact. Moreover, the article aims to determine whether the book will contribute to future reflections and discussions on the use of the Bible in this context. It is concluded that the preferred method of interpretation in the Reformed Church in South Africa calls for a thorough revision. The so-called grammatical-historical method of interpretation can no longer be regarded as the most appropriate and sole Reformed method of interpretation.--- Abstract translated into Sipedi ---Go fapana le te dingwe: seabe sa Gerrie Snyman go teologie ya RefomoPuku ya Profesa Gerrie Snyman, Om die Bybel anders te lees: n Etiek van Bybellees (2007), e gogile edi ye kgolo ya maloko a kereke ya Refomo mo Afrika-Borwa(RCSA/GKSA).
