Conventional long distance forced and short distance exhausted ventilation system create vortexes at the head, which increases the further dust accumulation and circulation. For this problem, this paper proposes a long pressure short drainage dust removal system that can change the angle of air flow at the outlet of the pressurized air cylinder. Combined with the actual situation of 12307 heading face of Wangjialing Coal Mine, the software Fluent was used to simulate the migration characteristics of dust in the roadway under the action of the air flow angle at the outlet of the pressure air duct and the pressure pumping ratio, and the effects of the air flow angle at the outlet of the pressure air duct and the pressure pumping ratio under different coupling modes were obtained. The study adopts non-stationary simulation to visualize the dust transport law. The results show that the dust removal efficiency increases with the increase of the pressure pumping ratio when the air flow angle at the outlet of the pressure duct is unchanged. When the pressure pumping ratio is constant, the vortex at the head gradually weakens with the increase of the air flow angle at the outlet of the pressure duct. Therefore, when the air flow angle at the outlet of the pressure duct is 60° and the pressure pumping ratio is 0.67, the dust removal effect is the best.
