While literary studies require constant development, the study of the influence of Eastern national traditions on Uzbek literature on the basis of new approaches remains a requirement of that period. Accordingly, the analysis of samples of Uzbek literary works created under the influence of the Eastern literary heritage, based on the criteria of historicism and nationality, and the approach to them from the point of view of the achievements of world literature and literary criticism remains relevant. The article also examines the meeting of the proverbs of the work "A Thousand and One Nights" among Uzbek folk tales, the reasons for which are common aspects of the life of the peoples of the East. In this regard, some of the stories of the "thousand and one nights" and Uzbek folk tales were studied in comparison. The article also examines the problems of the influence of the life of the peoples of the East on the proverbs of the work "A Thousand and One Nights".
