Allogeneic Mesenchymal Stromal Cell Injection to Alleviate Ischemic Heart Failure Following Arterial Switch Operation
Abstract
Cell therapy is a promising tool to prevent and treat heart failure in congenital heart disease. We report the first case of intramyocardial injection of allogeneic mesenchymal stromal cells as rescue therapy in a neonate with ischemic heart failure following arterial switch procedure for isolated transposition of the great arteries.
