Background. In the context of the growing multiculturalism and multilingualism of Russian society and modern state policy focused on increasing the export of Russian medical education, the quality of language training in medical universities of our country is of utmost importance. In fact, it is language training that largely determines not only the number of international students enrolled, but also the quality of medical graduates who should be ready for effective intercultural professional communication and lifelong self-development using a foreign language. Purpose. The purpose of this investigation was to study both theoretical foundations and practicability of higher education internationalization through the introduction of a continuous language training system in a modern medical university. Materials and methods. The main research method is the analysis of pedagogical literature (scientific publications), regulatory documents, and pedagogical practices to reveal the opportunities to create a continuous language training system aimed at internationalizing the educational environment in a modern medical university (using the example of Professor V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky Krasnoyarsk State Medical University). Results. The results of the conducted analysis allowed us to identify the main characteristics and principles of the language training system that underlie the process of internationalization of higher medical education. Based on the theoretical findings, practice-oriented system of continuous language training was developed, which contributed to the achievement of the main internationalization indicators (including an increase in the number of foreign students and obtaining international accreditation). The study results clearly demonstrated the potential of the continuous language training system in solving the problem of Russian higher medical education internationalization. EDN: KCALZO
