INDICADORES BIBLIOMETRICOS DA PRODUÇÃO ACADÊMICA MUNDIAL SOBRE O CONCEITO DO TRABALHADOR DO CONHECIMENTO

Abstract

The strategic importance of the transformation at work in an economy where knowledge is perceived as an economic good, it has changed the way people perform their tasks in organizations, therefore the concept of knowledge worker has been studied and suggested by different authors. This paper main objective is to investigate the global scholarship on the concept of the knowledge worker, using the Web of Knowledge database. The research was conducted under a quantitative approach for the methodological approach appears as bibliographical research with exploratory objective. To collect data, we used the Web of Knowledge base, with statistical support of several techniques, including clustering of likely publication on the subject journals. The results show a trend in the growth of publications on the subject; and North American and German institutions dominate the global scholarship on the concept.
