FIBRA ALIMENTAR E SUA IMPORTÂNCIA NA PRODUÇÃO DE COELHOS: REVISÃO

Abstract

Due to recent tendency of increased rabbit production in Brazil, nutrition has become a major focus, directly interfering with productivity and health of the animals. Among the nutritional factors, dietary fiber stands out, especially for gut health, which has been emphasized in recent years. Therefore, this review seeks to highlight the main points of anatomy and physiology of the rabbit gastrointestinal system, information on dietary fiber, such as classification, analysis, sources, mode of action and the importance in rabbit health and production.
