The strategic dimension of good governance applied in family businesses

Abstract

This study aims to shed light on a very important topic, which is the importance of activating the principles of good governance in family businesses, by addressing the basic concepts about family businesses, as well as identifying the principles of governance in these companies and their analysis tools, as well as the importance of their strategic application in the growth and continuity of these companies with Reference to Algeria's efforts in the field of corporate governance. The results of this study concluded that the correct application of the principles of governance in family businesses will allow these companies to achieve growth and continuity in the succession of generations and the transfer of wealth from generation to generation and reduce family conflicts, especially through its contribution to ensuring the integrity of financial transactions and increasing the effectiveness of business conduct, thus strengthening the rule of law And democratic governance, although there are difficulties and obstacles that prevent the proper application of these principles, they must be confronted
