The potential of volunteer (volunteer) labor brigades in the upbringing of a modern schoolchild is considered. An analysis is made of the conceptual differences between the labor (production) team and the volunteer (volunteer) labor team in terms of the formation of personal qualities that are priority for a citizen and a patriot. The functions and characteristics of volunteer (volunteer) labor brigades are determined. The main goal of the labor education of adolescents is the harmonious development of the personality, in which there is a connection with the moral, patriotic, physical and other areas of educational work. It is important to awaken in students a desire to take care of their future, an interest in career guidance that takes into account individual interests and inclinations. Thanks to work, a person realizes his significance and importance for society and the state. In this context, the volunteer (volunteer) labor brigade performs important functions that contribute to the formation of a civic worldview and a stable civic position. The participation of students in volunteer activities creates opportunities for personal development, forms qualities that will be in demand in his future professional life.
