Playful activities as a tool for preventing obesity in preschool children: experience report
Abstract
Doi: 10.5902/2179769211338 Objective: To report the experience of a health education activity carried out with children using playful actions as tools for obesity prevention. Method: it is a descriptive study in the form of an experience report, focused on the health of school children. The study was held in a municipal educational institution in northeastern Brazil, in March 2013. Results: It was possible to perceive that playful actions arouse children's interest, which favors the involvement in activities, the interaction between them and the teacher, and thus a better understanding of the theme. Thus, it enables the integration of the actions of prevention in health care with the school context, sensitizing children about their reality, relevant premise to the promotion of health. Final Considerations: The experience leads to the understanding that playful tools are constructive mechanisms of understanding on any theme.
