Overview of Modern Messenger Systems

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to investigate and address common problems of such an important sphere of information activity as communication between users (Internet communication) with the help of special services – messengers. Research methods are methods of semantic analysis of the basic concepts of the subject area of communication through messengers (Internet communication). The article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of existing messengers related to organizational, technical and informational aspects. The article discusses the main messenger systems and their functionality. The novelty of the conducted research is a comparative analysis of modern messenger systems, determination of their advantages, disadvantages and ways of further development. The conclusion of the research article is that information and digitalization nowadays penetrate into all spheres of activity of IT-business. Therefore, finding ways to provide effective, comfortable and convenient communication for mobile and PC users has become an important aspect of the IT business.
