Highlights Utilizing a nationwide, population-based database, the Longitudinal Health Insurance Database in 2000–2015 in Taiwan, which comprised 2 million people, we conducted a study to clarify the association between posttraumatic stress disorder and erectile dysfunction. Posttraumatic stress disorder was associated with the risk of erectile dysfunction. Psychotropic medications in the subjects with PTSD were not associated with the risk of erectile dysfunction.
