Tutorials or explanatory videos are not new, but they have experienced a new upswing in importance due to Corona and the elimination of on-site reference and training opportunities. In these videos, content from everyday library life is explained clearly and (usually) briefly. They can be consumed as a knowledge morsel regardless of time and place. The article discusses the advantages of this form of didactic presentation, explains different ways of creating them and describes the effort involved. It also introduces the “Tutorials in Libraries” network, which serves or can serve as an exchange platform and as a contact point for problems.
