Musculoskeletal disorders are among the most frequent and costly public health problems in North America and Europe. The number of cervicalgias, in particular, has constantly increased over the last two decades, becoming the second most encountered spine disorder, and one of the most frequent musculoskeletal disorders. This paper promotes two extremely effective methods in treating cervicalgias with different etiologies, recording beneficial effects over a long period of time. The research hypothesis states that extend the kinesitherapeutical intervention can positively influence the recovery of the patients with cervicalgias, as to reduce the pain, the muscular contractions and to improve the backspine’s mobility. The group of subjects consisted of 10 patients with cervicalgias from different causes, of relatively close age; the research period was of approximately 6 months, consisting in alternating deep transversal massage with Muscle Energy Techniques in treating muscle symptoms. Subsequently the proceeding study, I have presented and interpreted the gathered data drawing an overall analysis of the results regarding the group of individuals. At the begining of the treatement, patients hachured in the pain identifier test when asked, several soaring areas, indicating contractions of the cervical paravertebral muscles, whilst at the end of the kinesitherapeutical intervention, they declared unexistent pains in the forementioned areas. Likewise, the accused pains when the abovementioned muscles were felt, receded, according to the pain scale, fact which points out the effect the deep transversal massage and the miotensive techniques applications have in significantly diminishing the muscular tensions as well as the muscular contractions. The conclusions confirmed the hypothesis of this study, proving that a well structured physical therapy program reduces the rehabilitation time in regards to the cervical spine symptoms, thus contributing to the improvement of the patients' lives.
