The relationship between tourism and economic growth in thua thien Hue

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between tourism arivals and economic growth in Thua Thien Hue province in the period of 1998 – 2011. We used unit root test, cointegration theory, Error Correction Model and Granger causality test to test for impacting between tourism arivals and GDP in long-run and short-run. In the end, the study incorporates some suggestion to improve the tourism industry in Thua Thien Hue focus on tourism-led growth
