An ICT Service Oriented Telecom Network Infrastructure Architecture and Implementation

Abstract

After the introduction of the trends of ICT for enterprise and residential subscribers, the problems and challenges of current ICT solutions were also analyzed. Based on comparison between different patterns of ICT solution, LSN（local service node）, a new ICT service oriented architecture was proposed to telecom carriers. The architecture leverages the telecom optical broadband access network, and by using large layer 2 technology, enterprise/residential CPN were integrated inherently with nearby LSN data centers which were built on cloud computing, NFV and SDN technologies. The new infrastructure was composed of CPN, telecom broadband access networks and LSN cloud data centers. The implementation of such an infrastructure was also presented. Some new use cases were presented too, to show the benefits of the new architecture.
