Presidential Elections in Post-communist Romania

Abstract

In the three decades of post‑communism, Romania organized eight editions of the presidential elections. Following these electoral moments, Romania had four presidents. The article provides scholars with relevant election data on the eight rounds of elections, highlighting their particularities and contextual elements. It contains electoral statistics that can draw a general picture on the presidential elections in Romania.
