Persian literary style “Bazgasht” was the last attempt to return to the classical values of the past. However, neither aesthetically nor ideologically it could respond to the ideals and challenges of the modern times. In addition, Persian literature of 19th-20th centuries was developed with the synthesis of its own ethnic and cultural traditions and the European literary developments. It was in line with the progressive movements of World Literature and became its integral part.
