Abstract

Despite the development of modern diagnostic techniques, the occurrence of uterine cancer steadily grows. Current conception of uterine cancer pathogenesis suggests two types of tumor growth. Treatment strategy is based on the morphological structure of the tumor, degree of differentiation, stage, and somatic comorbidities. In addition, the detection of hormone receptors is also important to select treatment approach. Uterine cancer generally metastasizes to liver and lungs, however, more rare metastases occur as well. This paper describes case history of a woman treated for uterine cancer who was diagnosed with recurrent cancer manifested by cutaneous metastasis in the pubic area. Published data suggest that this localization is very rare. Therefore, every case history should be carefully analyzed. Hormonal therapy has resulted in the stabilization of cancer due to the presence of steroid hormon e receptors in the tumor. Keywords: uterine cancer, metastases, hormonal therapy, recurrent uterine cancer. For citation: Venediktova M.G., Ter-Ovanesov M.D., Morozova K.V.
