The Dabar's diocese department mostly links its existence as an important monastery seat to the period of the Sava's church's organization, and later on diocese. If it is about the monastery which was respected by the first Nemanjić's, its commemoration in Studenički tipic gives the evidence. In the choice of Studenički archimandrite the priors of the following monasteries took part in: Saint George in Ras, Saint Virgin Gradačka, Saint Nicola in Toplica, Saint Nicola in Kazanovići (Končul), Saint Nicola in Debar, and Saint George in Dabar. Later on it will have resulted in the choice of the Serbian priors. Thus, a precondition was created the mentioned monastery seats turned into Diocese departments of the first dioceses of the autocephaly Serbian church.
